Project Challenge

School for Living had developed comprehensive written program content designed to teach resilience concepts through storytelling and classroom engagement. However, they needed a way to transform this material into an interactive, accessible online program that could reach educators, coaches, community leaders nationwide.

With only three months to launch, the project required the combined expertise of qualified instructional designers and an LMS development company capable of delivering a fully structured program within a multi-tenant environment. The solution needed to provide:

Scalable delivery for a large educator audience
Knowledge checks with tracked user responses
Collaboration tools to support blended classroom delivery
Administrator visibility into teacher progress and engagement

Solution

WorkPlan collaborated with School for Living to create a three-part Resilience Education Program, developing the elearning modules delivered through a branded multi-tenant WorkPlan Learning environment. Each part featured 8 instructional modules and 24 classroom activity modules, supported by multimedia storytelling, interactive learning tools, and built-in pre- and post-training knowledge checks.

The design was inspired by the Resilience Tree Framework and the engaging Dusty & Friends dragon character series, creating an immersive and age-appropriate experience for teachers to deliver in their classrooms.

The Three Parts of the Program

Part 1 – Who Am I?

Teachers explore the foundations of self-awareness and identity. Modules like Introduction to Resilience, Brain Science, and Developing My Character guide educators in helping children understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Interactive story-based modules such as Game On and Flying Hamburger make the learning playful and relatable, while reflection activities help teachers adapt content for different year levels.

Part 2 – Where Do I Fit In?

The second stage builds a sense of belonging and self-belief. Using the Resilience Tree as a central metaphor, educators guide students through lessons on Self-Esteem, Self-Respect, Self-Confidence, and Self-Discipline. Each topic includes tailored classroom activities, helping children recognise their strengths, accept challenges, and build resilience through practice.

Part 3 – How Can I Serve Others?

The final stage turns inward growth into outward action. Teachers learn how to help children develop Self-Love, Empathy, Emotional Regulation, and Positive Conflict Resolution. The modules encourage autonomy, compassion, and communication — empowering children to contribute positively to their classrooms and communities.
